She wrote this spoken-word poem for the Shattering Stigmas event.

me pretty / me beautiful / me have it all / me nothing can be wrong / me what anxiety / me letting the demons too close / me a little prayer here / me a little offering there / you say all these things to me / you say break barriers / you say a difference / you say dismantle stigmas / same breath / i break / i cry / i bend my knees to pray / no one’s listening / this is when i stand / i yell / i latina poderosa will take the reins of this depression / i latina fierce will learn to breathe through this anxiety / i latina fuerte will be more than your bipolar joke / this is my coming undone / i sit / i talk / i let myself be helped / you mad / you not understanding / me healing / me a little better / me latina diosa
