Welcome back to Ace Of Bens! It’s a random Wednesday in August, which means it’s time for a reading update through WWW Wednesday. I’ve read three books this month, and while I’ll wait to list them all in the monthly wrap-up, here’s a sneak peek at what I’ve been up to these last four weeks.

Cover of The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston
I’m actually almost finished with it, but I’m reading The Princess and the Fangirl by Ashley Poston! I’m listening to the audiobook and I’m liking it even more than I expected! Ashley Poston’s books have been on my TBR for a while, but when I came across the audio on Hoopla, I figured now was the right time to give it a try. And man, I’m about halfway into it, and the characters are so relatable, the plot just pulls you in, and the narrators are great.

Cover of The Field Guide to the North American Teenager by Ben Philippe

Last week I finished the audio for The Field Guide to the North American Teenager by Ben Philippe. It’s a messy, teenage story that’s so funny and entertaining, and I especially loved how it wrapped up. Not to mention, as Jess @ The Book Bratz pointed out to me, the dedication is this book is one of the funniest (and most relatable) I’ve seen in a book. I’ll have a review up soon!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Cover of Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo

Okay, so I didn’t have a plan of what to read next before I started writing this post so… After looking back at my Summer TBR post, I think I’m gonna go with Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo. I don’t need to re-explain why I’m so excited for this book, because did I even need to explain in the first place? Acevedo’s work is amazing, and I can’t wait to catch up on it with this novel in verse.
